My Journey – From Medical Doctor to Bilingual Counselor

When I graduated from Medical School in Mexico and began my private practice as a physician, I quickly realized that my patients were seeking more than treatment for medical conditions. They also needed someone to listen to their emotional needs on their quest for healing and wellbeing — beyond physical illnesses.

For more than 24 years, I have been fortunate to practice medicine and counseling. Through treating thousands of patients, I discovered something universal: the need for genuine connection.

Today, I am proud to be part of the Austin, Texas community, offering my services as a bilingual (Spanish/English) counselor. As a native Spanish speaker, my passion is to help the Latino/Hispanic community. I also feel culturally sensitive and competent to help people from all cultural backgrounds.

Beyond the Therapy Room

When I am not working, I enjoy time with friends and family. I believe in supporting local and sustainable initiatives that promote cultural diversity and environmental awareness. I am proud to be part of this global community, offering my intention to be kind, grateful, and supportive — especially for those who have been historically marginalized.
